MCI Geneva and Dorier Switzerland joined forces to bring the 2019 Swiss Red Cross Ball to life. Each year, the SRC organises a charity gala event to support international cooperation projects. For the 2019 Ball, the theme chosen was 'brighten the lives of our elders’, focused on assisting elderly people who live in precarious conditions and are socially isolated. The proceeds from the gala will fund projects in rural areas of Armenia as well as three local projects in Geneva with improving the living conditions of the elderly at their core.
MCI Geneva and Dorier Switzerland were responsible for full event management and production of the night, from stage design to audio-visual. Their objective was to create an event that embodied the Red Cross’ humanitarian mission, while also encouraging fundraising for the cause and ensuring an entertaining programme of live performances.
A seamlessly executed evening where like-minded people could engage in meaningful conversations and build lasting relationships.
The 17th edition of the gala held at the HEAD Campus in Geneva was attended by more than 500 guests, including many Swiss and international celebrities. A record CHF 1 million was raised to support the Swiss Red Cross efforts, thanks to live and silent auctions and a grand tombola, all featuring lots generously donated by local sponsors.
The atmosphere evoked by MCI and Dorier’s smooth event production and impactful show elements created the perfect occasion to deepen relationships with donors and honour the cause that brought everyone together at the gala.
The night was marked by live music, fabulous food and celebrations of Armenia’s rich heritage with a pinch of French glamour. Throughout the evening, guests enjoyed a gastronomical dinner inspired by the Armenian origins of Chef Julia Sedefdjian, the youngest chef to have received a Michelin star in France.
Among the highlights of the evening was a fashion show, the Swiss premiere of a joint collection by designer Ste?phane Rolland and Geneva jeweller of Armenian origins Albert Boghossian.
Choral societies featuring children and seniors brought together especially for this occasion delighted the guests with songs by legendary French-Armenian singer Charles Aznavour.
Finally, guests danced the night away on the beats of DJ Bob Sinclar, star of the international electro circuit.
